haiku

Ellen Marsell

green leaves softly fall
fool seeks Buddha's place beneath
the silent tree

~ ~ ~

wave whispers
white bird's song
a cloud floats by

~ ~ ~

icy frost arrives
dawn mind in quiet reflection
spirit wakes anew

I appreciate that! The "unfamiliar" is where the transformation happens, so I wanted it to be held by a steady beginning and end 😊
