A truth

Not

A secret is;

Every utterance gets filtered by compulsion,

I don’t dare say too much, reveal, or admit.

So I’ve learned how to converse, while letting little pass these lips

it’s harrowing;

Around you, the precautions slip,

and thoughts flow freely into the air.

For you, words are worth the risk

it’s tearful;

I’ve spent so long, keeping sentences quiet, afraid of saying what’s true

A truth is;

I can’t believe, how many true things I’ve said to you
