Footsteps echo on the empty street,
Moonlight drips like silver on wet stone.
No stars tonight—just shadows at my feet,
And whispers in the wind I walk alone.
Each breath a secret, every step a dare,
The night unfolds its velvet, endless cloak.
I chase the silence, lose myself somewhere,
Where fear and wonder wear the same black coat.

This wears a coat of sophistication and flare. Nicely done and excuse my blather for I have been traveling for two days without rest.
Thanks, I understand the travel stuff. Time to rest!!!
There is no rest for the weary my friend the mind is always working
