Gospel Glories

orchidee

Tune: Lancashire

('The day of resurrection')

Acts 1 v.1-8 parts

*********

Luke wrote his gospel's sequel

The book of Acts, we tell

Gospel of what Jesus began

To do and teach midst man* (*mankind)

Until the day in which He

Taken to heaven be

In His Ascension after

He gave His commands sure

Commands through the Holy Spirit

The apostles way lit

To whom also He showed Himself

Alive, and full of health

After His sufferings shows

By many proofs, each knows

That they were infallible

And unmistakeable

He said, Jerusalem not leave

Until you shall receive

The promise, the Holy Spirit

He shall equip and fit

You to be witnesses to me

By His power. strong, free

Witness even to ends of earth

Continue gospel's worth
