Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤

a very powerful poem. You painted an imagery that conjures feelings of confusion and darkness. Words like "murkiest" pond," and "coffin" suggest heaviness and stagnation, which complements the theme of struggling with one's thoughts, in which we all can relate. Your poem speaks to me so loudly, revolving around the complexity of the human psyche, the murkiness of thoughts and feelings, and the desire for clarity or movement in life. The imagery of water and consciousness indicates a deep connection between one's mental state and the external environment. Hang in there cause you hit it right on now to get through the murkiness! And you will free yourself.

I've read this a few times, darkness, much darkness but I'll pull you out of the pond and take you for a Guinness 💜

Ooh, I can't think dark for too long - can't see a thing 'ere! lol.
Good write T. We wish Popeye & Co would take a carriage out of town, but they never do! lol.

  • Paul Bell

Darkness through the light, though the light seems dull.
Everyday for months seem dark, and getting darker.
As humans we push on, just no other way.
    Onwards and upwards to you.

That there is a pathway inward implies that there must be one outward as well. All punctures go both ways although the current may be stronger in one direction. The darkness and murkiness implies not only stagnation but filth, decay and the putrid. I have been in such waters before both literally and metaphorically. The idea of push invokes two thoughts the pushing of a floating coffin inward planting death within and the opposite the push of birth expelling the coffin fetus outward rejecting death. A poem with much meaning my friend
