The reaper

2781

'You've made some mistakes'

Yes, more than a few.

'There's nothing new under the sun:'

My trust is in you...

You taught me: 'not by might not by power...'

Money couldn't do..

'Why would you sell your soul, for morsels of worthless bread?'

Your word that were shown, filled my heart, and filled my head...

'Embittered by bloodshed, greed, or any other worthless foe?'

To the Lord I plead, that the reapers find enough, from what has been sown.

This seems a poetic questioning of reason. Nicely worded in good rhyme

Not quite sure of the quoted references but do think I grasp the general gist. I think there may be a case for ploughing this crop in to start again. But where the right machinery is found to achieves this is an open question.

Some might say we are all given a measure, of whatever? So my guess is, it's what we do with it?

Valiantstar, this feels honest in a way that doesn’t try to hide anything…mistakes, trust, all of it sitting side by side. That tension is what makes it work. It’s steady, grounded, and real. Powerful write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
