Thou art the Deus and Thou art the Diva

adventuressmalik

त्वमेव माता च पिता त्वमेव, त्वमेव बन्धुश्च सखा त्वमेव।

त्वमेव विद्या च द्रविणम त्वमेव, त्वमेव सर्वमम देव देवः।।

Tvameva mātā ca pitā tvameva, tvameva bandhuśca sakhā tvameva।

Tvameva vidyā ca draviṇama tvameva, tvameva sarvamama deva devaḥ।।

Oh my God! O my Shiva!

Thou art the Deus; thou art the Diva!

The source of cosmos,

who lights up the soul.

The one who is nothingness,

the one who is whole.

When You are my father,

my respect is natural.

Guide my steps, hold my hand,

on the trails of this land.

When You are my Mother,

I feel loved in every way.

Hold me in a warm embrace,

reflecting kindness in your face.

When You are my Brother,

born from the same womb.

Always stay by my side,

between us there is nothing to hide.

When you are my Friend,

together, we’ll dream bold.

Telling jokes and laughing aloud,

making stories that haven’t been told.

When you are my lover,

my heart melts and smile beams.

Let the minds weave

the countless dreams.

Let the joy burst,

let the flowers bloom.

Lifting away grey,

clouds of gloom.

You are the wisdom my spirit knows,

helping me become good and true.

I align with nature in every way,

and become joyous in knowing You,

When You are my resource, right,

material that this world provides.

I wish my wealth to alleviate pain,

like the blessings of the rain.

If You want to play the Lordly way,

I won't prefer that anyway.

If I was made in Your image,

I am ‘good’ in every way.

Oh my God! O my Shiva!

Thou art the Deus; thou art the Diva!
