Happens I’m quite old
Do not respect, but judge me
Only for my truth

I can only hope that all judgements are just and beneficial ππ»ποΈ
No 'great expectations' here......
Now there is a great haiku Dave
Eventually
unavoidable unless
a person dies first
In all probability will...
Pretty sure these words could be sung here to a familiar Tina Turner song: βWhatβs age got to do with it.β π Well said, my friend. Well said.

Thanks Tristan.
Most welcome, my friend? Did you start singing it? π€£ I know I did! Hahaha!
Thanks
"Apr 12th (11:00) Doggerel Dave has a trending poem Age?"
The swiftest trend I have ever experienced - Gone and no time to celebrate (observed several hours ago but had other live pressing demands).
Magically 'Age?' has retrended.... Ssh! Cyber illusionist at work!
Truth read Wisdom? maybe. Experience.?.
For the purposes of this exercise, it is the truth of what I say and/or write.
Thanks for happening along here.
Nothing wrong with Truth, old or not, being true to ones self is what matters, enjoyed the read
Everything right with truth actually. And my point is that response to what I say or write should be based on the content of my statement/argument only. This is really directed to those who purvey the notion of respect (or otherwise) for the elderly. An attitude most recently articulated by so called poet Desu. You have come late to this piece, part of my refutation.
Apologies for being late, I haven't been on for a while and was just having a scan around and this caught my eye, being an oldie myself it hit a few notes with me, enjoy the rest of your day.
No worries - it is just that I got deep into this and my irritation knew no bounds. I sprayed everywhere.
A little more kindness and a little less judgment works better and is more effective in maintaining relationships π
Who Am I to judge someone - when I point one finger at someone four are pointing back at me always - π€so itβs wiser and nicer to accept people as they are since none are truly perfect ππΌ
A fair balanced response if ever I read one. π
More kindness and less judgment works as I feel if I point a finger at someone 4 are pointing at me - π¬so letβs not judge others anytime but take them as they are if we want to maintain relationships π€
Agreed in principle, though there are some relationships I never want to enter, let alone maintain.
yes - there are some people whom i would also prefer not to interact with - and there are an insignificant few around here who have been quite mean and passed judgement without knowing the facts - and yet - if they greet me ,i will still say hello, and move on...i don't need to stoop to their level ever
have a beautiful day - take care...
Will do. And of course, you too.
Age is just a number the kids say, though yours is a bloody big number.
Just no respect, I blame the parents, then I realised.
It is a simple message: just focus on the content of my argument and respond to that. And especially don't be an arseole (not you) and attempt to wreck my posts, then apologise by framing it with a promise to be better in future, by respecting his elders.
