Do Your Best

GenXer Sharon πŸ™πŸ€

Sounds so simple right? Just do your best until you know better? Keep in Faith. Stay in the fight? What about for those who are battling the thoughts in their mind? How do we get through to them with the truth in time? Closed ears. Eyes refuse to see. What about their souls? How do we let it be? God tells us we were never meant to hold burdens that He never placed in our hands. He tells us to speak truth when and where we can. God lets us know about the powers and principalities that be. So how do we help those prisoners who are a prisoner of their own mind? How can we preach? If the mind and heart are closed, is it truly out of our hands? True we can’t save. We must follow His commands. The battle of the mind is powerful when facing it alone. All I can say is run to God before you’re too far gone. He loves you and is waiting for you. He won’t force His love or His presence if you don’t want to. Just do your best. Four words that seem so useless. It’s all one can say aside from you got this. These words mean nothing when dealing with deep betrayal and pain; certain life events changed us all; we’ve never quite been the same. Yet each of us has a truth that can help another soul. Besides from “do your best,” how bout you learn to let go? Not all at once maybe a little each day? There’s great courage and strength to be found in you when you lean onto Faith. I should talk right? Mistakes I’ve made plenty. That’s not who I am anymore; Our Heavenly Father tells me. We each have strengths and weaknesses that make us who we are. We each have one mind; and an ever beating heart. You woke up today which means your life has purpose; so why not choose today and find out just what that purpose is?

  • Comment from author about the poem: πŸ™ β€œdo your best.” We do our best until we know better. Once we know better we do better. Sometimes the darkness is too powerful this is true. Yet; sometimes the darkness has become the comfort zone too. It’s not easy to allow God into your very soul. Getting to the root of all your pain. All one can do is keep going. Just keep trying. Fight the demons with your light that you buried beneath all your hurt, anger, and pain.

Sharon… this carries a real weight of care…reaching toward people who are in the middle of that inner battle. That tension between wanting to help and not being able to force it feels very real, and you stayed with it honestly. Strong, heartfelt piece, my friend. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

Good write GS. Yes, we may read 'principalities, power,s dominions, etc' and just pass over them, as it were, as though they were some nebulous things 'out there' - or say 'Hmm' and pass on to the next chapter. They are surely unseen spiritual forces, and not all of them are good.

A poem about seeking what is right. Nicely worded. Well done
