Denial Can't Lessen

Kurt Philip Behm

The memory of loss

alive in her cries

More despondent than sad

each flashback conscribes

What denial can’t lessen

or grief will abstain

Recalling the heartache

— reliving the pain

(Dreamsleep: April, 2026)

Bleeding Eternal

The human condition

flows through my pen

Not cherubs or tulips

or wistfulness then ...

Each word like a bullet

that strikes at the heart

To bleed there eternal

— with truth to impart

(Dreamsleep: April, 2026)

Excellent work! The first poem revolves around being lost in grief, showcasing the enduring nature of pain and memory, and how grief knows no bounds of time. The second poem skillfully portrays the human condition, reflecting on the open and painful truths that contribute to a transformative writing process.

Kurt… this cuts deep…there’s no soft landing here, just truth hitting where it needs to. It feels unflinching and real. Strong work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
