Moonbeams and Misery

Kayla Jackson

With the stars and moon I sleep,

dreaming of you-

peacefully and whole.

I dread the morning light,

for I rise with the sun

into a nightmare

where you become nothing

but a fantasy.

The mind is kinder to the eyes that sleep. A feeling I know too well. Great write.
