So I Leap

Kora

The water ripples
As I touch it,
Reflecting skies,
Its depth unclear,
While I stand here,
Building courage
To make the dive

There is a strength
In its silence,
A kind of peace
I ache to live in,
I am trying
To remember
How to be brave

My toes are curled
Against its edges,
It is warmer
Than expected,
And for a moment
I can almost see
Foundation,

So I leap

Like all good metaphors this one is fleshed out line by line and yes faith also requires a bit of evidence to exist that foundation seen. Lovely

Thank you Soren ♥️ Hope your day is going well 😊

Great write. Sometimes, all we need is the slightest evidence to trust wholeheartedly, though most of the times, that evidence is deceptive. Afterall, water is water, though it may seem solid at times. Well expressed

Very true, and once in a while it is exactly what it claims to be. Sometimes it's necessary to take a leap of faith.
Thank you for your insight ♥️

Love this Kora. I well remember the feeling of the courage it takes to dive. I'm guessing this is a metaphor for life and the courage it takes to start or do something. A favorite Kora!

Aww thank you so much Katie ♥️
Yes that's exactly what it's about, and about finding yourself again after lost trust.

Great writing. Your poem conveys a longing for peace and bravery, juxtaposed with the hesitance that often accompanies taking risks.
