It’s been a long time since I’ve written a story of sorts. I’ll do my best at keeping it short. Blake is a middle aged man; with a family business he inherited. Yes I know; many characters of mine have this one thing in common. It’s where the heart is. He’s moved from a big city to his hometown. It’s been about twenty five years since he’s been home. Some things never change; the old coffee shop is still around! Blake remembers spending time there through out high school. Makes him think about Bessy but that ended on shaky ground and now her name reminds him of how he was a fool. What’s the company Blake’s inherited? Would you like to know? Well stop on by once more tomorrow?

This sounds like old times and I await the continuation
Thank you
You are most welcome Sharon
Great write. Your poem revolves around nostalgia and the complexities of returning to oneβs roots. It explores themes of memory, regret, and the passage of time, as Blake reflects on his past and the choices he made.
Thank you so much
I can relate to this one. My hometown and young love is close at heart. May we all continue.
Thank you James
