a sad monkey in the rain
with wet eyebrows
and a slow heart
its heart beats
like a gate closing
its heart is strong
like a dead skull
a sad monkey in the rain
its eyes barely tremble
when a branch
touches its shoulder
and here is an angel in grey
everything about him is beautiful
his face and his words too
but the monkey in the rain
does not understand him
everything is so grey —
endless clouds
so pale
like a field of daisies
a sad monkey in the rain
a branch touched it again
and it looked so surprised
at the drops hanging from the vine —
it was a good expectation
of something new
and the drops drip-drop on its crown
and the wind is damp
the angel was here but left
a sad monkey in the rain
where is your sadness?
there it is — in the valley
a sad monkey
sad and bald

I have never seen a bald monkey, too much testosterone I guess. Sad monkeys I have seen they are less active and less troublesome to others. Grey angels dirtied with their work of saving people where the dirt rubs off. All in the rain so sad nature's tears that water the ground and bring new life. But one thing that I can't figure out why is the monkey bald. A most interesting write that seems surreal and most metaphoric.
Bald monkey - is a human. Sometimes it looks so.
That would be an insult to monkeys I would believe.
It’s cool and funny.
