Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤

The Poem
plinking echoes
reverberating resonance—
a wind blows softly
through the moonlit oculus,
a clerestory casement —
fingers ease down,
then slowly release.
velvet dampens
the crystalline cascade
shimmering slightly
in ivory soft notes—
together a chord—
bleeding one into the other
whilst scaling,
digits dancing off
alabaster accidentals
onto ebony enamel.
upon the airy wind
lament emerges—
swelling hypnosis,
a ghostly,
reedy legato drift
weaving its slow
melancholy movement
through the soul.
darkness surrounds
but for the pale, wanton
moonbeam
hauntingly cast
upon the duet
of spectral sorrow—
sirening
their delicate dirge.

Thank you, Mutley, for the fave, my friend! I hope you enjoy both poem and the music.
How many more talents do you have hiding up your sleeve, Tristan?!
Hahaha! Not sure. Still testing the limits to find out! 🤣 All jokes aside, poetry and music both have been in my soul my whole life. And I like to dabble. Thank you again, Mutley. Seriously appreciated, mate!
Music and poetry both evoke feelings deeply buried and most lovely when combined in song
Totally Soren. That’s honestly why I keep coming back to this kind of work… there are things I can’t quite say with just words, and things sound alone can’t fully hold. But together… something opens up. Means a lot that you felt that here, dearest friend. Thank you.. 🕳️✨🪞🙏
You are most welcome Tristan my friend
Tristan, this is just beautiful. What an eloquent way to describe playing the piano. You play don't you?
Well written. Your poem appears to be an artistic expression of the complexity of human emotions, particularly how beauty and sadness often coexist. I love how you invite readers to contemplate their own experiences of loss and the solace that can be found in music and nature.
The combination of the song and of the poem is quite comforting. Though perhaps intended to be a little uneasy, I find comfort in it and I think that's a beautiful thing.
Ohh, I was carried away with this, until...... another duet appeared - a glugging sound, Popeye and Ol' Tom - ruined everything! lol.
I'm not surprised you can't keep up with comments, with that incessant glugging going on. lol.
Wonderful combination, a person of many talents. Wish i had musical ability because sometimes it can bring a poem to life and give it that feeling you are looking for and when writing it gives so many more possibilities. Very creative and interesting write and combo, pleasure to read.
