Whistle,
Game ignites fast,
Feet fly,
Balls roll,
Moments vanish like quick sparks,
Crowds cheer loud.
Passes,
Dashes, tackles,
Hearts pound,
Eyes sharp,
Every second counts for glory,
Time runs short.
Goal!
The score leaps high,
Cheers roar,
Fans jump,
Half-day matches burn like fire,
Victory nears.

The plays written in short explosions of words like the game itself. Nicely done
good penned
Matthew, I apologize for the delay…just came off finishing a major composition called The Shaman, another tone poem, and needed a minute to recover. Your poem takes me back to those moments where everything speeds up and you’re just reacting, fully in it…no space to think, just feel. You captured that rush really well. Really well done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
