Fueled by love

Natalie Heisey

In shadows deep, where trust takes a sleep, i built my walls, so my heart wouldn't weep. Promises shattered, like glass on the floor, Now barefoot I walk, not hurting anymore."

I walk this path alone, through the thorns and the stone, Reaping what I sow, watching how the cold winds blow.Didn't ask for much, just a gentle touch Now I rise above, fueled by tough love."

Our bridges I burned, lit a path to escape,
From expectations that twisted my fate
They said I'd return, crawling back in
But the air up here's cleaner then its ever been.

"Then the mirror showed a fighter, stronger than before, Ready to break free and settle the score. No longer seeking approval, no longer in chains, I write my own ending, through sunshine and rains."

I walk this path alone, through the thorns and the stone, Reaping what I sow, watching how the cold winds blow. Didn't ask for much, just a gentle touch, Now I rise above, fueled by tough love

Yeah, sometimes you just have to seek pastures new for your own sanity.
