Memories Zero

birdbird

Stop moving a while

Step out into the chill.

Of the very same night

I had lost all my ill

In the very same light

That had haunted my will

To walk down the road

Down to the windowsill

Of my mind.

In hindsight I'd have drawn

The paths edge and hedge worn

The lands end of steps more

And more step to the shore.

Pass grass of noon dunes,

It's moonlight but still dawn.

The morning of never ever

The mourning of forever

For ever more.

The toes grace

Of grand sand.

Gold-black shells

Face lands tanned,

The soft snakes

Of spiral mind.

Soothed in sorrow

But only tomorrow.

For now is now.

For ever lasts.

Forever masks.

The borrowed time.

I'd murder in tomorrow's shine.

The dawn of today's hands

Of sand timers shattered in the sea.

The glint of the glass glimmers gladly at the greatest memory.

To define me as me.

In this poem rhyme is the principal driving force as it rolls on in AA fashion with internal and end rhyme. Well done
