Have you ever felt out of place,
where you sit but are not settled,
wondering what’s wrong when everything looks normal?
Have you ever wondered why the bird’s song
no longer soothes your soul,
Or why his touch no longer reaches you?
Have you ever wondered
if this is all there is to see,
or if the world has much more to offer,
and maybe you just don’t know where to look?
And it leaves you convinced that maybe you are the problem,
and that if you were like them,
life would have come like icing on the cake?
