Very capable, strong and wise
Choosing kindness over hate or spite
Mentoring everyone he came in contact with
Just a simple man teaching to do what is right
My relationship with him built on guidance
Concerns I had that I thought mattered
Rick never made light of what I spoke of
He would explain a way certain and better
Trading guns with Rick more about interaction
He would make a lowball offer just for fun
I’d call my friend a Rick a dog trader
We’d agree on a price and he’d buy the gun
Never got to speak to him in the end
Though we all hoped he’d live
If I could speak to him I’d tell him I love him
And that I’ll try to share what he had to give
Every time I saw my brother we’d embrace
Share an honest I love you, brother
For that I’ll be grateful for the rest of my life
Like Rick would want I’ll share that with others
