Good citizens

Maplespal

Good citizens how you obey,
pay your taxes and work each day.
You are a nuisance to us above,
good citizens it is us you love.
Build our war machines,
sign the line, put on the greens.
Grab a weapon or two,
warrior for us your view.
We're worth defending,
to war, we're sending,
good citizens.
Just obey.

Cannon fodder are the poor we pay the price in taxes and more. A wonderful write of the value put on the common man by those in power. Nicely done
