God's Sad Heart

Mark The Phenomenon

The world is loud, a messy place,
We run so fast, a hurried race.
We break the earth, we fill with greed,
Ignoring whispers, planting a seed
Of anger brewing, deep inside,
Where God's sad heart can barely hide.

We turn away, we build our wall,
Don't hear His voice, don't heed His call.
He made the stars, He made the land,
He holds us gently in His hand.
But distance grows, a widening space,
A frown of worry on His face.
