On Edge (Never Good Enough)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Never complained once when asked,

We complete all the monotonous tasks.

On edge some of them seem keep us,

Always moaning or making a big fuss.

No appreciation, they wear a black glove,

Whatever you do, it's never good enough.

Heavy and hard hitting, like nothing is ever good enough. Well penned.

How I`ve struggled with "not good enough!" Where and when on earth did this assumption take root? I can only think it`s a symptom of separation. Which says something about me, and the so called "elite."

A powerful poem. Your poem expresses the struggles of workers who, despite their efforts and dedication, feel undervalued and overburdened by the expectations placed upon them.
