AN ANGELS PRAYER

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Frozen tears
From marble eyes
An angels prayer
Lost in time
A silent bird
On wing up high
Release the tears
Angel to cry.

Your immortality
A burden as such
To roam dimensions
Heavenly touch
Your gentle face
Featured stone
Does your heart beat
Without a home ?

Who created you
Who modelled your frame ?
Your statued stare
Eyes without flame
Moonlight it touches
In nights dark hand
An angels prayer
Times falling sand.

Nicely crafted this poem evokes images of a marble work of art. Well done

Ah, I remember that feeling. There have been such angel sightings along my timeline over the years. 🕊️🙏
