Frozen tears
From marble eyes
An angels prayer
Lost in time
A silent bird
On wing up high
Release the tears
Angel to cry.
Your immortality
A burden as such
To roam dimensions
Heavenly touch
Your gentle face
Featured stone
Does your heart beat
Without a home ?
Who created you
Who modelled your frame ?
Your statued stare
Eyes without flame
Moonlight it touches
In nights dark hand
An angels prayer
Times falling sand.

Nicely crafted this poem evokes images of a marble work of art. Well done
Thanking you always appreciated
You are most welcome
Ah, I remember that feeling. There have been such angel sightings along my timeline over the years. 🕊️🙏
thanks for read and kind comments, much appreciated
Most welcome, Norman 🕊️🙏🏻
A fine write N. And now a prayer rarely answered - that the bus arrives on time! lol.
the angel is fed up, should have got a taxi lol
lol. And yes, about that book 'The Road Less Travelled'. I'm not surprised they didn't travel it much, what with the poor bus service! lol.
so true lol
Norman, my friend, this holds a quiet, haunting stillness…like emotion caught in place with no release. That image of frozen tears in marble eyes stays with me…feeling present, yet unable to move. I’ve felt that kind of weight too, where something sits just beneath the surface without escape. This lands as reflective, eerie, and deeply felt. Powerful write. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
