An unwanted guest comes as a pest who makes its nest to disturb your rest
A fly in your soup or family group sticks their nose to snoop in your private poop
They disturb your joys making noise entering with ploys a spider web deploys
They come to eat not to greet, to take your seat and bite at your feet
Aunts and ants, parasitic transplants as implants of sycophants
Get in you way, never pay, day after day, never go away and stay and stay and stay

good write, we all know of unwanted guests
Thanks so much Norman for your review and words of support they are most appreciated
you are welcome
Like gremlins, sidekicks and hangers on, stalkers and trolls even. Like little voices in the head that pester without ceasing ๐๏ธ๐
Thanks so much for the read and comment yes you have it
Yes! Most welcome dear friend ๐๏ธ๐๐ป
Nice poem .
Your internal rhyming scheme so good .
Thank you so much Priya
Good write SB. Ahh, one who overstayed their welcome, and didn't say 'I'll get my coat!' (to leave, that is).
KP never says it, even though I feed her sewage still. lol. I suffer for it though. She gets out her endless photo albums to bore me. Of course, there's no one else in the albums but her! lol.
Thanks so much Orchi yes that would do it for me
All of us have had unwanted guests lol
Thank you Sharon for the read and comment yes it is true
Soren, this is a wild rideโฆthereโs a chaotic, almost playful frustration running through it that just keeps building. It feels like everything piling on at once and not letting up. That energy carries. Strong piece. ๐น๐ค๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฆโโฌ
Thanks so much Tristan for your read and comment it means a lot to me and is most appreciated my friend
Yes, I like this . I'm reminded of the time Hans Christian Anderson payed Dickens a visit. Stayed for weeks until C.D. had to order him to leave. A definite fave.
Thank you so much for the read and yes I remember that story. Some people lack social sensitivity and grace. Your words are most appreciated
You got some terrible family members
Thanks for the read either that or a lot of flies and mosquitos
Haha Haha...you need a swatter...not a squatter
very VERY good work as always.! it kept me interested, though all of your work does. the more I read the more I enjoy
You are very kind and your reads are most appreciated
Is your about me really true...all of it?
Dumb question lol...a poet lives a million lives
Thanks for the read and comment it is appreciated
too much deceit, every day. I donโt even know what to do with it.
Thank you for the review and comment it is most appreciated
good one! ๐
very well expressed.... real-life social behaviorโpeople who exploit relationships, overstay welcome, and invade personal boundaries. Comparison of people to pests and parasites is clear and effective. Clearly conveys irritation and discomfort without naming anyone directly
Thanks so much for the read and comment it is deeply appreciated
Been there. hosted them.
That may just conceivably be based on experience...
Realistic write, Soren.
Thanks Dave bugs or people all the same
I would like a guest sometime!! Nice write
