Feelings lurk in alleyways,
Under flickering, guilty haze.
Not all crimes wear masks or knives
Some just fracture quiet lives.
A stolen trust, a whispered lie,
An alibi we can’t deny.
Cold intent or soft disguise,
Both leave marks we recognize.
Sirens fade, but echoes stay
We carry every crime away.
