The sun makes a hazy glow
Begging me to express something I don’t want to show
“Tell me, I won’t tell a soul!”
Ah, but you’ll have another secret you stole
“Why that’s an unfair thing to say!”
You’ve done too much already, just go away
“I have never caused you any pain!”
The occasional sunburn, but I won’t complain
“Oh just tell me will you?”
Not until the sky is three days without blue
“How difficult you are!”
So some have said, my biggest trait by far
“One day it’ll slip out of your lips!”
I’d rather write it on paper then shred it to bits
So the clouds covered up the sun
It had gotten bored without any fun
I sit down to rest and clear my mind
The sun and the wind combined
Well it was too much to bear

Secrets always a problem if more than one knows it, it is no longer a secret. Well written
Thank you Soren!
You are most welcome
Allie, this pulled me in right away…there’s something so natural about that back-and-forth, like a conversation you don’t really want to be having. It feels light on the surface, but there’s more underneath. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much Tristan! Your feedback really means a lot to me, I appreciate it!
