And I think that i may have misunderstood the Gods,
because
I can see as the artist sees when he makes his art!
What if?
But .., if will not come today
And perhaps my eyes did see today
and indeed
My rage is misguided.
But i will never know how you have
searched the Hard road cement places,
because
I've never seen an Oasis
only the mirage
and it seems
to be
that I've always had the force of the tide
pulling and pushing
But I still have the hurt
not wanting me,
not even wanting you
And yes, I have learned that there
will be no force on my island except the force of the tide pulling and pushing;
My island will sink like Atlantis soon,
And I will again be unable to
touch you see you or hear you ... Who?

It was John Donne that said "No man is an island" and his finishing line accompanies yours "And therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls for it tolls for thee" Yes mortality is over rated. Loved your imagery of the tide as well which to me was a great metaphor. Very nicely done in layers of meaning.
