Shoveling food into my mouth like I’ve never ate before
Taking out the expensive china even though it costs more
Buying that fancy dress I said I’d never wear
Opening that bottle of champagne just to share
Going outside without a jacket to dance in the rain
Joining a karate class although it causes me pain
Only one life for me and you
Choose to do the things you didn’t want to do

There is that old saying "Try it you might like it" that seems to be the meaning of this poem set in good rhyme.
That’s a good insight Soren! Thank you for your comment as always.
Most welcome Allie
Allie, this carries that spark of choosing life on purpose…doing what once felt off-limits, leaning into the moment instead of holding back. There’s freedom in that shift, and you let it come through simply and clearly. Great write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much for your kind words and support Tristan! I’ve been trying to find myself lately!
I feel like nothing is what I should be doing, then again I did enroll into classes an entire new subject for me.
I can understand that feeling Demar. I’m glad you found something to do in your free time! What subject?
Automotive… we will see… I mean I grew up around cars usually behind the wheel, with a seat belt and uhh… AC
Oh that’s wonderful! I always wanted to be a mechanic but I never pursued it, I’ve been thinking about learning it on the side!
Idk why I’m doing it, apart of me just thinks well I’m always going to have a car… but even now I’m thinking bout quitting before I start… what’s wrong with me
Nothings wrong with you Demar, sometimes our brain is afraid of change. I think you’ll do alright
