He saw her as night,
Infinite blazing stars
Sprinkled throughout
Her perfect heart,
Each small glance
Like a comet,
Setting his mind alight,
She was wonder,
Beauty and joy,
All at once.
For only her, he would
Surrender himself,
As the tide surrenders
To the pull of the moon,
I am nothing,
Compared to the dream
Of her love.

Love unrequited of the author set in a cosmic setting where universal forces attract another to the beauty of a universe. Well written and a fave
Thank you Soren ♥️
Most welcome Kora
Beautifully written, Kora. Your poem explores the theme of unrequited love and the overwhelming beauty and wonder of the beloved.
Thank you so much ♥️
Excellent. Love - she is wonder beauty and love all at once.
Yes she is ♥️
Alas, your need not fulfilled, your affection not reciprocated... I know this situation so well here. We stand side by side over this.... do a ninety degree turn in the right direction and I can be ... aww I've gone all funny... my knees ... I'm all hot and bothered..
A ninety degree turn? With my back I can barely muster forty five 🙈
Your back? oh dear - but you are still in the full spring of youth. Need a chiropractor, or better still an empathic experienced old geezer prepared to sacrifice his time....?
Definitely. Give me a time and place and I'll be there with bells on 🙈
Can you discard the bells? We will waken or arouse the curiosity of the neighbours and... well you know...
I'm sorry but the bells are non-negotiable 🤷♀️
Oh dear - I can feel my enthusiasm waning a little. I still have to live here after you toddle (or run with a rejuvenated back) off to wherever you come from...
Please know that my offer remains open, despite your obdurate response.
Further be assured of my long term support (can't get rid of me that easily) despite this current setback.
