Freeze a hole & Let's

Maplespal

Freeze a hole

From the depts of hell crawl the angels.
From above the mountains come the snow.
In front of your thoughts Heaven they dangle,
and never do they take you there to show.
The ideals of lesser or greater than thou,
and the give to get nothing in return or tell.
You dedicated your life to a promised vow,
waiting for the snow to freeze over hell.

Let's

It takes but a virus to kill us all or a push of many buttons.
For the animals let us become food to fulfill our glutton.
Let's get blasted, blown away, let's all take that ride.
Let's ticker-tape parade, let's one finger push decide.
Let's let the mushrooms grow, let's breed them to spawn.
Let's decorate the lands, let's have a nuclear dawn.

Why wait for the virus?
Let's have some fun.

I particularly like your first poem of freeze a hole in its images and fun twist on common known lines. The second is provocative and good fun in a sense of satire. Well done
