I am at a deficit
The world declines
I am defective
Constantly crossing the line
My purpose is underwhelming
The pain exceeds my joy
Something confounds me
As to what I have to offer, to employ
What rather would you have me do?
Skillfully avoid all my dues
Or overpay the limited amount
To run it over in case I lose
Should I fail, will you qualify
for a charity project or a mission for inclusivity
Will that be my allowance
For outplaying all my abilities?

- Comment from author about the poem: I just wanted to write something. It's been a little while, and writer's block has all I can muster squeezing my insides with no catalyst to work out.
