Vital Wind

Marek

The Wind Is Always A Breeze At My Back
That Calls Me To Breathe This Life That I Lack.
The Chill Touch Of Whisperings Of Used Air,
I'd Rather Not Care, This Truth That I Bare.

This Quiet Rejuvenation That We All Share,
It's Simply Something We All Must Fare.
As Always, Until The End...

The Breath Will Fade, And Begone From There.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Sometimes silence is better than wasting your breath. I've also grown to not care so much what people say. Their words aren't as important to me anymore as much as their actions, demeanor, and social integrity are in terms of how and where I choose to use my breath. Maybe the simple breath deep down is an underlying selfless thing that gets blown around in the wind and the words we speak from our lungs smash against each other as a wave does the rocks, contradicting one another...? I guess sometimes we don't think about how we use what we've got, and when we use it in a negative way it is as if we don't even notice. That's why its important to always try to have the right intent, a focused mind, and a good spirit.

It is the last two lines that give ultimate meaning to this poem that speaks of breath as life itself and so it was thought anciently with the verb to be coming from the word for life for it was only if a thing was breathing the it could be said to be alive. And so the biblical word for god I am is the derivative of life itself. Lovely and a fave
