Between the noise

unknown444

I fold into the floor

like the ground might keep me

The air tastes like silence

thick, unmoving,

hard to swallow

my thoughts circle

like something hunting

and I am both

the noise and the thing it wants

The door is open

But it feels miles away

So I stay here

counting the seconds

like they might end me

or save me

I can't tell which

There is hesitation and surrender in this piece that speaks of feelings that we have all had. It has great poetic lines of imagery and is short enough to keep attention yet long enough to send its message well a fave
