Mia tries to stop her baby Aurora from Crying.

David Wakeling

Mia lived in Oslo the Capital of Norway.
In 2022 She was 16 and had just given birth to beautiful Aurora.
Aurora’s father was just some guy Mia slept with,
He didn’t mean anything to her.
They meet at a friends party.

Shhhish little Aurora don’t be so sad, stop crying.
I have fed you and changed you why are you so sad.
I know you Father abandoned you.
I’ll shut the window perhaps you don’t like the cold,
Now shoosh little Aurora I am here.
Perhaps I should sing an old Norwedgian lullaby.

“Oh Wolf outside my door, there is no food here,
Go chase a rabbit dear I will not let you in,
Off you go or and let my baby sleep.
Off you go you terrible Wolf leave us now”

The song was beautiful and soothing but Aurora kept screaming.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa she would say.
Now Now Now little girl not so serious.
Rest your weary head on the pillow.
Mia held he head down hoping she would sleep,
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
That made things worse.
I have tried everything.
Even the neighbours are complaining.
Please stop crying little Aurora.
I’ll put my hand upon your mouth.
I will take your life and let you free.
And we will fly across the sea.

Where life is hard so are the means of dealing with it. Many have seen this over the years and yet life goes on. A poem of sad adversity and difficult choices.
