Wisdom

Katie B.

Wisdom churns in the belly of the fortuitous few

Earned on the backstrap of humanity

Achieved through years of trials

Aging imposes

Judiciously earned

Experiences harsh teacher

Unfolding

From brokenness, suffering

The wise are sought

Entrusted

Wisdom wears modesty

It doesn’t flaunt

What could we be

If we all wore wisdom

Like a badge

An honor

It's always been a prayer of mine to earn those silvery wisps of hair with their corresponding weight in wisdom. Nan used to tell us repeatedly, "age with dignity." An excellent reading for a Sunday 🕊️🙏

A poem of the relationship between wisdom and age. It lays out each step and climbs the ladder of logic. Good write Katie

Yes lets be acquiring wisdom as I age - just making sure it is disgracefully. Above all enjoy.😜

Yes , I hope I gain Wisdom as I get Older.
It's when you look back to your youth and think:
'What was I thinking of '?
      Well Said.
