A DROP OF LIFE

Carlos Alberto BUSTILLOS

A DROP OF LIFE

A DROP OF LIFE

Drops,
we are drops,
drops among so many.

Small drops,
so many sparks
that live:

Drops of life
in the immensity,
life is a drop,
sparks of life,
and in the end,
drops.

Drops that evaporate,
small drops that form rivers,
that follow their path and in the end fade away,
drops of life that have their time,
human drops and other drops,
all of them forming the miracle,
that miracle of life
that in the end goes,
and others come,
in the
universal
cycle.

Only drops.

UNA GOTA DE VIDA

Gotas,
somos gotas,
gotas entre tantas.

Pequeñas gotas,
tantas chispas
que viven:

Gotas de vida
en la inmensidad,
la vida es una gota,
chispas de vida,
y al final,
gotas.

Gotas que se evaporan,
pequeñas gotas que forman ríos,
que van por su camino y al final se esfuman,
gotas de la vida que tienen su tiempo,
gotas humanas y otras gotas,
todas forman el milagro,
ese milagro de la vida
que al final se va,
y otras vienen,
en el ciclo
universal.

Solo gotas.

Somos gotas: humanos, animales, plantas y hasta el agua misma.

En la sencillez está lo bello, como una micropartícula que refleja el universo

I had someone at the bar told me 2+2=1 because it all comes from 1… your poem reminds me of that recent conversation. Great work
