Blake’s just waiting on word to go ahead with the plan. The meeting went very well thanks to Steve, and Bessy’s hand. The whole gang is coming together at Old Fashioned Delights; there’s so many of his old friends that want to help bring this town back to life. For every yes though there’s those that think it wouldn’t do any good. Blake has no time for the negativity or people’s bad moods. Back at Old Fashioned Delights there’s music playing loud; Blake is painting and Brode’s tearing things down. Steve has the day off so he too is tearing things up; then there’s Steve’s buddy Jim in charge of plumbing and such. Bessy and Bianca are rearranging the menu. Trying to keep it as it was; both Bessy are Bianca are aware that a few items must go just because. Bessy has had a few great connections since Blake left town; in fact she’s more than hopeful that this will all work out. The music playing brings Bessy back to her days with Blake; she wonders if he’s moved on; or if he thinks leaving was a mistake. Blake pauses for a moment as he begins to reminisce in his mind about his second date with Bessy; right here at Old Fashioned Delights. He looks over at Bessy and catches her staring at him ; the beauty of her and just her being here brings up all those old feelings again. He catches her blushing as she quickly looks away. “That’s a good sign .” He thinks to himself; “are we ready for a break?” Everyone agrees and Blake walks right over to Bessy; “ I can’t work when a beautiful woman keeps staring at me.” “I wasn’t staring at you; she says with her blushing cheeks. “I simply looked up for a second because I was getting ready to sneeze.” Blake laughs and Bessy’s face is bright red; “ hey all I’m saying is I know my girl and the thoughts that are in your beautiful head.“Your girl?” She says with such intensity; “I apologize; Blake says; “forgive me.” They both walk off and decide to grab a bite to eat. What’s next you ask? Come back to Old Fashioned Delights for a treat!

Thank you my friend.
You are most welcome
Sharon, the story continues and this installment carries a nice balanceβ¦a place being rebuilt, people coming together, and something more personal quietly unfolding in the middle of it all. That moment between Blake and Bessy gives it heartβ¦it keeps the story grounded and real. Really well done, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
