Blake and Bessy have had a great time catching up and talking about old times! Still Blake sees this change about Bessy; it’s all in her eyes. They tell a story he can’t quite understand; and he reminds himself of how it’s all part of God’s plan. See; we humans are not meant to have all the answers at the drop of a dime; God reveals His plan slowly; always on His time. Bessy can see that life has taught Blake has had to learn some lessons the hard way; she begins to wonder if she should ask him about their last day? “Say Bessy;” Blake says rather softly; “How have you been since we ended things rather Rocky?” Reading her mind as he always seemed to do. “Funny you ask; I was thinking of asking the same of you.” “Well Blake; I own my own a jewelry shop since we remember I’m set in my own ways.” “I love every minute of it! It gives me charge of my days.” “ Shortly after you left I found my way to Faith. The one decision I made in my life that has not turned into a mistake.” Blake understands now the look he’s seen in her eyes. It’s the love of God that’s taken hold of her life. “How about you Blake? “How are you really?” Blake pauses for a moment; “if your asking do I miss my parents? Absolutely.” “The last words I spoke to my mom didn’t come out right. We had an argument over the direction of my life.” “She didn’t care much for the women I would date. In fact she told me leaving you would be my biggest mistake.” “But it hasn’t been all bad Bessy I can’t complain.” “But since we ended, life hasn’t been quite the same.” Bessy listens and sends a quick prayer up to God. “I’m sorry Blake that life for you got so hard.” “I’m tough Bess; I always push through.” “How bout your faith Blake? Did you stay with it too?” For today this is all I wrote; there’s two more chapters left; will you come back? One can only hope!
