SOUL / ALMA

Carlos Alberto BUSTILLOS

SOUL

I am a tiny being,
so small in the chaos,
in the immensity,
a naked soul.

Wrapped in my flesh,
in the boundless space,
floating in dreams of sunbeams.

Weaving each day, like a spider, poems.

A transparent, insignificant nothing,
through which that inner self shines,
where I float isolated,
unaware of the swaying
of others,
distant,
so close,
and so far from me.

While I fall asleep
in those radiant dreams,
and warm myself in my fire,
while life goes on
in my little nothing,
fighting without strength
to catch rays,
rays of love,
in my nothingness,
that slip away,
and I
with
them.

ALMA

Soy un ser pequeñísimo,
tan pequeño en el caos,
en la inmensidad,
desnuda alma.

Envuelto en mi carne,
en el espacio inconmensurable,
flotando en los sueños de rayos de sol,
tejiendo cada día, como una araña, poemas.

Una nada insignificante, transparente,
donde trasluzco ese interior
en el que floto aislado,
ajeno a los vaivenes
de los otros,
lejanos,
tan cerca
y tan lejos de mí.

Mientras me duermo
en esos sueños radiantes,
y me caliento en mi fuego,
mientras la vida sigue
en mi pequeña nada,
luchando sin fuerzas
por cazar rayos,
rayos de amor,
en mi nada,
que se van,
y yo
con
ella.

Carlos this poem speaks to me of the un importance of the size of the soul. It may be small, but still large and it’s importance. Nicely set my friend.
