The Mystical Flute

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

It can make all your big dreams come true,

Just be careful with what it might cost you.

The mystical flute was found in a corner shop,

Only a few pounds was paid, it didn't cost a lot.

One blow of the mouthpiece and a spirit appeared,

Didn't appear to be good or evil, it just looked weird.

It asked the new owner what wishes they would like to receive,

He couldn't believe his ears, this new owners name is Steve.

His wishes were all asked for in a quick succession,

Then the spirit had a seriously troubling confession.

Steve you have now forfeited your soul is what the spirit said,

Steve's face was now looking like full on panic and dread.

Shaun, this one grabbed me right away…there’s a playful setup that turns on you fast. That shift from curiosity to consequence hits clean and keeps the tension moving. It’s a fun concept with a dark edge. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
