I have never seen myself as a failure!
Though I’ve heard the world whisper that word to others.
It never found a home in me.
I was never a failure to my family,
never a fading presence among friends,
never a lost name in the classroom.
I may not be the best
but I am far from broken.
We are all first-time travelers in this life,
learning as we go, stumbling, rising
So why judge yourself for being different,
when difference itself is a kind of beauty?
Carry light in your thoughts
It makes the weight of the world softer.
In the end, it is all a matter of mindset,
to see yourself with kindness,
even when the world forgets how.
