To be loved by a writer

Cindy

To be loved by a writer,

Is to be loved by their words,

Cradled by their letters,

And anchored in fragile sherds.

To be loved by a writer

Would be love called sincere,

For it derives from the bottom

Of their heart so very dear.

Pages written at a measured pace

Find the dignity

In being seized with such grace,

Every stroke with delicate care;

Love so divine, so precious, so rare.

To be written with their ink,

To be typed with their hands,

Written promptly, straight away,

An open view of their cherished lands.

To be loved by a writer

Should be found with great pleasure,

For being written in their letters

Is surely a priceless treasure.
