The load

2781

It was a smooth ride, into the dark: I will never leave you, nor forsake you:

The kindling was dry; you gave the spark...

To set the gates of hell on fire-

Spirits ridden: no longer the liar; or thief; or back-door man.

Nothing lost: you had a plan!

The gift that is given, how can it be sold?

It's more precious than rubies, silver, and gold.

Nothing can compare with it, he lightens our load: as lifts us up, out of the hole.

A surreal ride from hades to the upper world. Nicely written

Well written. Your poem deals with existential struggles, the burden of past sins or misdeeds, and the relief that comes from love, trust, and spiritual guidance.

Friendship, you have a new image, or was this you in your prime?

When the load is lightened, you sure feel better.

Valiantstar, that contrast between descent and rising really stands outโ€ฆ it gives the piece a powerful movement through it. Thereโ€™s a clear shift that holds everything together. Nicely done, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ
