Fractured

Fränz Müller

A new day brings a new decision:

which me shall I be?

Work me, always the diplomat?

Partner me, caring and supportive?

Freak me, into all sorts of scandalous acts?

Friend me, who shows only the fun?

Life of the party me, quick with a joke?

Guarded me, only keeping interactions surface level?

OR

Inner me, the twisted train wreck of a being?

So many facets to this flawed gem of my existance!

We are all complex beings with different facets. To understand all of them would be a monumental task. Well written

Well written. Your poem explores the complexity of identity and the various roles a person can embody in different situations. You highlight the struggle of self-perception and the pressure to conform to societal expectations while grappling with one's inner self.
