Eighties

Cindy

Love in the eighties, how would it be?

She asked, tomorrow same time, same tree?

He said definitely, I'll be there,

Stroking his fingers through her lustrous hair.

Love in the eighties, how beautiful to see.

Hand in hand, both he and she.

Two in their world, where they call their own,

Two together yet wander alone.

The moonlight glimmers in her eyes,

Beyond the words, desire lies

He craves to lay deep down inside,

Where all is held is noble pride.

He whispers softly, her name beneath,

Shaping the letters with his teeth.

He holds his hand up to her cheeks,

The soothing touch, alone it speaks.

He traces the features of her face,

Her eyes, her nose, her warm embrace.

The way her lips form such a smile

It lightens the darkest, so worthwhile

Love in the eighties, how would it be?

Meet me here beneath the tree,

We'll talk until the day comes by,

And cherish each other, eye to eye.

Cute and retro for many today but for an old guy like me it was love in the sixties and seventies that's how it was. Nicely written

What would we do without trees to carve our love on.
Now, the question is, are you still with the tree lover.
