Nothing Gained

GenXer Sharon 🙏🍀

What is gained when you inherit hate of a person you never knew or talk to? What is it that’s gained when you slander a human being without knowing the WHOLE truth? Nothing: because in the end you couldn’t be more wrong. You went along with what was told to you by another and the story grew miles long. What is gained when rumors are spread without fact checking first? A new car perhaps? Status on the popularity chart? Words are weapons and can hurt. See; His word says; “life and death are in the power of the tongue.” You can either uplift and choose not to believe the garbage or we spread it around like fire; the most damaging one. Now don’t twist my words I know sometimes facts are simply facts; but when one doesn’t have the entire story? Questions should be asked. What’s to be gained when you inherit someone else’s hate of another soul? Put the fire out when it comes to you; learn to let it go.

Sharon, this made me think about how easily people inherit narratives about others without ever pausing long enough to ask questions themselves. That cycle can become incredibly destructive before anyone realizes the damage done. Really felt the heart behind this, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
