In the Palace of Westminster they do reside,
The Elected Ones sit Side-by-Side.
There's Scandals here, Backstabbings there,
And for the good of the People they Solumnly Swear.
So under the Clock it's appropriate then-
As they wear more faces than Old Big Ben.

Poetic recognition of the political. Well written
Thank you. Appreciate you reading.
You are most welcome Kevin
Epigram away, Kevin - That was great. Said more about the state of politics than a lengthy column rich critique in yer local rag.
Faved for brevity and penetration; well and truly skewered.
With Elections this Past week it's been the only News. Thanks for your Comments and Reading.
PS. And for the fave Dave. (There's a Rhyme there somewhere) And there as well.
Rhymes have kept me head above water,
Now just a habit, I feel I orter.
A dry grin flicked at power like a cigarette burn on a polished desk.
Westminster reflected in a pub mirrorโstill wearing the suit, just less convincing.
Nicely put. Thank you for Reading.
Kevin, this one carries some real bite...and honestly, deservedly so. โMore faces than Old Big Benโ is a killer closing shot. Sharp, witty, and sadly believable all at once. Really enjoyed this one, my friend. ๐น๐ค๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฆโโฌ

I'll try . Thanks for taking the time to read.
Only if the Muse doth thee guide! ๐คฉ๐๏ธ๐
