Maplespal

Don't tell me I can bounce back up,
or anything about refilling my cup.
The future cannot make itself stop,
it never pauses when we're damaged, we drop.
Your views of the thoughts I have within,
blinded to the rolling eyes and my hiding grin.
Time never heals just drags things along,
it's up to me not you when I move myself on.

Choice and control in timing is part of this poem. Nicely done

This resonates with me. I have long periods of pain but sometimes I'm able to cope better than others not that it doesn't hurt.
