Upon your brow, a gentle sweep,
A ribbon tied with whispered care,
The countryside where memories sleep,
Soft straw and sunlight in the air,
A touch of grace beyond compare.
You shade the eyes where dreams do keep,
Beneath your brim, the world’s affair,
Upon your brow, a gentle sweep,
A ribbon tied with whispered care.
Through meadows green where lambs do leap,
And songs of birds float everywhere,
Your dainty charm, so light and fair,
Delights the heart and bids it dare—
Upon your brow, a gentle sweep.
